    Questions concerning:
    - Sidebar viewed in articles
    - Navigation in the header (like at binary bonsai)
    - Layoutthingie from worldpress.org
    - Picture Gallery

    Hi people,

thanks for providing such a splendid software! After finding, installing and telleing my friends about it I come up with some questions I'm not able to find answers for. Please apologize, but for me as germanspeaker it's hard to find the right thread in forums - i hope you can provide some links :)

Problem is, I can hardly code, only basic html, no php - I'd be wery thankful if you could provide me very easy instructions.
    My questions are the following:

    1. When I open an article and the browser goes to the site, the sidebar is not there anymore - Can I insert it so it's allways shown?

    2. I'd like to make a simple navigation in addition to the sidebar like at binary bonsai -> Where do i put in the code? and: How can I make them animated like at b b. :) ?

    3. On worldpress.org you have a wery nice background - it's still and has this shadow? What's the trick about that?

    4. Picture Gallery: I need a picture gallery, that is simple to set up and easy in handling, but it must have descriptions for pics and thumbnails that open the original in new Window.
Btw: When I insert a picture in a WP article, it comes with no thumb/link aswell - can I change this?

    1000 Thanks in advance,
    Martin

    1. If using the default theme:

    2. As Michael says on his site:

Q: How do I get the same menu that you have on your site?
A: By ripping out the source code from my site.

Lots of menu lists to choose from here:

    3. On wordpress.org it's done with a background image boxing the content area:

    4. Know little about the gallery options for WordPress. Perhaps someone else can make some recommendations. In the mean time, lots of plugin-based solutions to look over:

BTW Q. If you upload through WordPress, it can create a thumbnail (if the install of PHP on your server supports this). It does not generate the link required, but all thumbs will have the original filename with "thumb-" prefixed to it.

Thank you a lot, was me a great help! :)

Though, I get lost in the quantity of gallery plugins - I've tried some that sound good but they were to hard for me.
    Anyone else got a suggestion?
