manually uninstall wordpress plugins? (7 posts)

    Is there a way to uninstall a wordpress plugin if im unable to access the plugin admin site, because of the plugin failure.

    btw. the plugin is to integrate an smf forum site, but it didnt work. any help is well appreciated.

    you can uninstall the plugin by FTP'ing ino the website and deleting it there from the plugins folder ... this should do the trick for you.

    you do have FTP access?

    yes, ill try that, so that will work to uninstall it and deactivate it?

    I see the blog site of someone who may have a bad URI at Options -> General

    [edit] scratch that. it seems to work now.
