    Hello,

I tried to auto upgrade WordPress to 3.1 but it failed (due to my host configuration I guess).
Then I Tryed to clean the failed upgrade by following the manual upgrade instructions.
Now I have a conflict with wp_delete_category(). I realy don’t know what to do:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wp_delete_category() (previously declared in .../wp-includes/taxonomy.php:1742) in .../wp-admin/includes/taxonomy.php on line 99

    Thank you for any help.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-running the upgrade manually.

    Hello,
Thank you esmi, I followed your instructions but I still have the problem.
I have two kinds of taxonomies : ‘author’ and the default ‘tag’ taxonomy. when I browse a ‘author’ page, everything is fine but any ‘tag’ page return Not Found. This is, I think, my only problem in the front end. I can’t access at all to the wp-admin. I still have the Fatal error.

Have you tried working through the solutions suggested in Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List
