Mandatory Category Selection while publishing Post

    Hi!

    I’ve a small query … how to make the Category selection mandatory in WordPress while publishing post? Right now, when no category is selected, the Posts are published under Default Category. This is certainly not desirable and this increased moderation work in multiple author blog. Is there any plug-in that will allow me to give Error message if no category is selected for the Post?

    Simply saying, I’m looking for a plug-in that will not allow the Author to publish the Post if no category check-box is selected. I don’t want such posts to get published in Default Category and want to force my Authors to select appropriate category before they publish their post.

    I seriously don’t know if this forum is ever seen by any serious webmasters who are good at WordPress development! This makes a life of developer (like me) difficult who is relatively new to WordPress. Can someone please come forward and look into this issue and ever be so kind to post a useful reply to the query I’ve posted???

    Possibly Bind User To Category will do what you want.
