really easy question for you: I'm not an HTML guy - I'm using the rich editor to put in posts - but how do I manage the actual font and font size in a post? Can you help?

You do this by setting font size in your stylesheet.
As I didn't know where your blog is, I'll have to guess.
Often the container, the <div for the content area has the id="content" and within that you may have post container, such as <div class="post">. The id's could be different in your theme.
In your stylesheet ( maybe style.css ), find the style rule for the div class containing your post(s) and change the font-size rule.
