   I just installed MAMP so will be able to run a local copy of WordPress and everything’s running properly — server green lights all on and the start-up window showing — but when I click on either the ‘phpMyAdmin’ or ‘SQLiteManager’ tabs, both windows are blank so I can't create a database and am completely STUCK! Anyone?!

   Help!! (Please and thanks!)

   I'm getting the same thing. I had it at one point but didn't want a new database, as I'm trying to install my existing site locally, but even after completely deleting MAMP and re-installing and starting fresh, I cannot get myphpadmin page to show the database creation stuff again! can anyone help us out here?

   Ever since I installed the most recent version of MAMP, I haven't been able to access phpMyAdmin in Safari. I've been able to get around this problem by simply using Chrome. You could also get around the issue by manually writing queries to the database using PHP or by connecting to MySQL via Terminal (http://www.kleinermann.com.au/blog/how-to-mysql-mamp-terminal/).

   All of these solutions are a little annoying, I know. I welcome others' ideas! I just think it's a small bug in MAMP.

   Thank you, thank you, thank you Max! That took care of it and I'm now up-and-running! I wouldn't have even thought of that — losing 1.5 days trying to figure it out and not getting anywhere proved that, I guess!?! — so kudos to you! I think I'll have to have a lil' word with the folks at MAMP re that! ;0)
