   Hi all,

   First off, apologies if this has already been covered. I've had a good hunt through the forum but can't find anything...

   I'm running WP2.9.2 on MAMP (Mac LAMP).

   I've got everything running out of my Sites folder. I've got a particular theme with a settings option, but when I click through, it tells me I don't have permissions. Everything else seems to be working ok.

   I've tried CHMOD'ing everyting to 755 - even 777 briefly... no help

   I can't establish whether or not I have an .htaccess file locally, whether I need it, or where it should be...

   I've tried everything I can think of.

   The theme settings page does work if I upload it to my hosted FTP server. So it's definitely a local issue.

   Any ideas?
