Major problem that I can't seem to solve. I have a site that currently redirects to a non-existent page or category. Not sure which but the bottom line is it's a redirect I didn't add. Upgrading to 3.5, turning off plugins, switching themes, removing widgets. None of this worked. Checked the .htaccess and it seems to be OK. The WP-admin is completely OK. It's just this redirect somewhere in the site that's the issue. Even switching servers on my host (HostMySite) didn't work. Is there anything else I can look for or am I stuck doing a complete re-install?
Doesn't look that way. I got everything checked clean by Sucuri. Although I also got this:
Unable to properly scan your site. Site empty (no content).
I went into the database and there seems to be tables from a plugin called Redirection. There was one item in wp_redirection_items and sure enough, it was the redirection to the hacked page/category. Deleted that but the problem still persists. Might be the cache. Not sure. I deleted the plugin but the four tables in my database are still there. Is it OK to Drop those?
OK, I just checked a clean browser and loaded the site and the page loaded OK. I think we're good but I would like to still know if I can delete those four tables related to Redirection in my database. Thanks.
