    Hi,

    Sucuri’s SiteCheck
    sitecheck.sucuri.ne

says that this plugin has some possible malware in it:

    “status: Site infected with malware
    web trust: Not Blacklisted”

And then it tell by page like this “Anomaly behavior detected (possible malware). http://xxxxxxx.com/….”

You can run your own check in the Sucuri’s site.

What does this mean, and why is it giving this kind of answers? I guess you should update the plugin?

    Cheers.

  • Checking some of my own sites where Easy FancyBox is running, I get no warnings.

Can you give me a link to your site? If you do not want to share it publicly, you can use the form on http://status301.net/contact-en/

Thanks. I’ll send you the site link using that form :).

OK, got the URL and did the check: there is indeed a false positive occurring on the included metadata.js file. You could seek contact with the Sucuri Sitecheck team to let them know this is a false positive.

Otherwise, if you really want to get rid if the warning, you could install the latest development version of my plugin which uses a minified version of the same script, which funnily does not trigger the warning.

Youcan find the dev version on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-fancybox/developers/ under Other versions 🙂

    Hi,

thanks for your effort here. I am glad to know there is nothing malicious going on there.

I think I have nor authority neither credibility to contact Sucuri, as I have nothing to do with the plugin :). I think you as the developer should contact them, if you feel so.

    Cheers.
