Malware in Thesis 1.7 and 1.8

The commercial and GPL-violating WordPress theme ‘Thesis’ was apparently infected by malware, according to a German weblog:

http://www.thesisworld.com/virus-in-thesis-1-8-beta/

I have not been able to found any official information, however, Thesis users should be careful and set up their blogs (maybe even their servers) from clean sources.
