Making the title and tag line italics; letter like

    Hello!

    My blog is a sort of letter; I’d like the title and tag line to be in italics to reflect this. I tried to do that using the following code:

    #site-title a {
    font-size:48px;
    } {italics;}
    body.page-id-421 > #page > #branding > a {
    display: none;}
    #tag line {font- size: 24px;}
    {italics;}

    Tried it in Firefox: no joy – does anyone see the problem please?
