Making seperate permalinks for months/posts (4 posts)

    Currently my permalinks (set up via the control panel) is like this;

    /archives/%postname%/

    This is because, I want my links to be short and memorable.

    However, it causes a problem when you list all your months - in that it will not allow you to click or select on this month anymore.

    For example, in your side-bar its quite probable that you have;

    Previous Months;
    Jan
    Dec
    Nov
    ....

    How do I make it so that there is one permalink structure for my posts which is short, and make ti so that it does not screw up the way the previous months are handled?

    I hope you can help!

  2. You can't. Using a date structure is highly recommended. Read more here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

    This problem *should* be dealt with when 1.5 is finally street-ready.

    Thanks again.
