    Hello,

I am starting a news site. The main page displays various post titles with summaries/image. However I would like each of my other pages, i.e. Politics, Economy, Local, etc. to also display the post titles with summaries/image that have that category. e.g. Politics page associated with politics category.
Basically what every mayor news site does.

What is the cleanest way to do this? Thank you!

I apologize if this has been asked before, could not find what I needed.

Do you have a Custom Menu set up with category items in the menu?

Or are you asking something else?

That gives me a nice list of posts. What I was thinking though was for the template to be similar to the main page.

Example: http://www.bbcamerica.com/ and the page of a show http://www.bbcamerica.com/doctor-who/

You can likely do that by making a custom template and using a plugin like

    Possibly http://wordpress.org/plugins/posts-in-page/

    What theme are you using?

Sounds like you should first create a child theme so that your changes are not lost when the theme is updated -

    Custom templates:

OK, I have created a child theme and template based off the home.php. However, applying this template to any page and it still looks like the default ¨blog¨ template..
