   I create a series of scheduled posts that show up daily.

   In my sidebar I have links to go to the latest post that has a specific tag.

   Right now, I have to manually set the link to go to the latest post which is tedious especially since I schedule the posts to show up for a reason (so I don't have to always be manually updating at a specific time).

   Or to avoid having to manually update the link to go to the specific post page, I have set the links to the tags of the posts so the newest post is pulled up at the top of the list.

   I would prefer the link to go directly to a specified latest post itself rather than listing all posts with a tag.

   Is there a way to insert something into a post that will allow a link to pull up the latest of those posts with that inserted tag?

   To put it simply, I'd like a link, to specifically tagged posts, to pull up the latest post with that tag rather than a listing of posts with that tag.

   Is this possible?

   This is very close to what I need if I changed tags to categories instead, which is possible.

   Also the problem with this is there is no thumbnails which would be nice. It's supposed to have thumbnails according to the screenshot but it actually doesn't have the option in the widget.

   Because I have 12 tags (or if I changed them to categories for this widgets functionality, then 12 categories), I would have 12 instances of this widget in the sidebar pulling up 1 recent post for each category.

   Is there anything else similar to this?
