Making changes to a website via a phone call or text

I have schedule on my website but when weather interferes some times I need to cancel an event on the schedule. Im looking for a way to make this change on the fly. If I could send a text or make a phone call,or open an app and have that trigger something on the website that changes the event to cancelled or make a Piece of text display homepage that says “events today are cancelled” that would be fantastic. Not sure if theres a plugin that could do something like this or something else. I’m not sure what my options are here. Any help is appreciated!!!
