   hi. I have a category in my blog that I would like to make private to the public b/c it will be used for personal reasons. I do not want anybody not registered to be able to view the category. is this possible? wordpress seems like a very good blogging tool but if i can't do this i'm afraid i won't be able to use it. thanks very much!!

   the limit categories plugin will let you select what is accessible to guests, and for each role.

   thanks for the link. i just activated the plugin and it doesn't seem to work. is there a trick to using it?

   Actually that plugin doe NOT do what you want. It just limits the categories the users can post to.
