Making a Required Field Not Required. Business Directory Plugin Latest Version

    Hi. My issue is with another “Required” Field. On my site: http://www.kidscampscanada.com I changed the name of the field “Long Business Description” for “More Camp information” and want this field NOT to be required (Free listing doesn’t get this option). But it won’t let me make it “Not Required” ever since I updated to the latest version. Same with the”Contact e-mail” How can I fix that? I tried going in the Directory Admin> Manage Form fields and click on “Not Required” but it won’t work!

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Magda,

    Yes, this seems to be the behavior of the current version as I mentioned in the email. It happens not just on Long Description, but also Title and Category (Genre) as well. The latter two are absolutely required no matter what (they are part of the URL, so you have to have values!) but the description is less clear.

    I will get some clarity on that and get back to you. I know we made stricter updates to the fields as we’ve worked on the plugin since 2.0 to make it such that people couldn’t put the BD into a bad state. This may be a side effect of that work.
