Making a plugin available for download
-
I am planning to take a plug-in that appears to be broken and for which no recent versions have been posted or any support forthcoming from the original contributor, and re-work it. In fact, I have already done this and it is working fine on my site.
I want to fully update this and extend it and, in line with the spirit of most other things to do with WordPress, make it available for anybody else to use. It strikes me that the best way of doing this is to make it available as a download from the WordPress Extend Plugins page. However, I cannot readily find any procedure describing how to do this. I can find information on writing plugins but no mention of the process by which they are catalogued and placed on this site.
What is the recommended approach please?
Thanks
David
