• I am planning to take a plug-in that appears to be broken and for which no recent versions have been posted or any support forthcoming from the original contributor, and re-work it. In fact, I have already done this and it is working fine on my site.

I want to fully update this and extend it and, in line with the spirit of most other things to do with WordPress, make it available for anybody else to use. It strikes me that the best way of doing this is to make it available as a download from the WordPress Extend Plugins page. However, I cannot readily find any procedure describing how to do this. I can find information on writing plugins but no mention of the process by which they are catalogued and placed on this site.

What is the recommended approach please?

    Thanks

    David

  • Hi David,

did you read this article in the Codex?
It seems to explain in detail how to go about submitting plugins.

    Cheers!

Excellent. That is what I am after and despite searching for it I couldn’t find it (it’s easy to find when you know the page exists and what keywords to use).

    Many thanks.

No worries, David. I’m glad that it was helpful.
Let me know if you need anything else.
    Cheers!

    Hi,

Where you able to figure this out? If so, could you please mark your topic as resolved?

    Thanks!
