   What do I have to do to designate certain pages as blogs (i.e., where I can post stories and people can post comments like they can on the home page)

   You can designate a page as your home page and a page that holds your blog posts using the Front page settings in Administration > Options > Reading.

   I want to do the same, I'm running a blog / news website called GoreGamer.com. I would like 2 pages that are blogs. "The Gore" would be the news side on survival horror games, and "The Gamer" would be something like about me, games I liked, played, movies, my son, family and other.

   Some tell me to try the WPMU but I installed it on a different website and cant get it to what I want. Any plugins / help would be nice. :)

   Don't need MU for that.

   You could use a plugin like CQS to control what categories get displayed where....
