    Hey,

Is there a simple way to add a blog template so i can have a blog page in the site?

    Thanks,
    Tomer

  2. Hi Tomer, I'm not sure what you mean, could you explain in more detail what you're trying to do? The theme comes ready to go for blogs.

Could you provide a link to your site so I can take a look at what you've got so far?

  3. Ah, I see your site in another post you made:

    http://www.checkin-marketing.co.il/

It looks like your front page is already set to display your latest blog posts, so if could you explain what you're trying to do that might help me understand your question better. Thanks!

    Hi Kathryn,

I meant to have a template that's a "latest blogs" page. many other themes come with this template.

the reason would be that i would like to have other things on the HP and have the blog post somewhere in the site.

Thanks (the new domain is: onthemap.co.il ), but it's the same site.

    Tomer

  5. Hi there, do you mean that you'd like to set your homepage to a static page?

If that's what you mean, you don't actually need a different template - WordPress supports this by default. The steps are:

    1. Create a page that you'd like to be your homepage and add the content you'd like displayed there.

    2. Create a placeholder page for your blog, and give it the title Blog (or whatever you prefer). Don't add any content to this page as it's just a placeholder.

    2. Go to Settings > Reading, and under "Front Page Displays":

    a) select the page you created in step 1 under the dropdown menu next to "Front page"

    b) select the placeholder page you created in step 2 under the dropdown menu next to "Posts page"

Voila! You can now link to your blog page by linking to the page you generated in step 2.

Just let me know if you have any questions or if I've misunderstood your goal.
