I have WordPress installed in the directory http://www.mydomain.com/blog (In terms of my file structure this is root/username/mydomain.com/blog/) I have also created a subdomain called http://blog.mydomain.com. I specified the web directory of the subdomain to be the same as the installation directory of WordPress; i.e., root/username/mydomain.com/blog.
This doesn’t work. Whenever I navigate to blog.mydomain.com, I end up at http://www.mydomain.com.
I can use cloaking on the subdomain to point to the blog, but I would rather do something similar to the description in http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory to get this working.

Can anyone help me with the steps required to make this work?

I don’t want to have to uninstall and reinstall the blog. Is this possible?

    Thanks
    J.
