Hi everyone, I am running the theme Twenty Ten (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/twentyten) and would like to extend the blog's width by 70px.

I want the main body to remain it's current size, and the sidebar to grow from 230px to 300px.

Any ideas how I would go about this?

    Thanks
    Christopher

    Hi Christopher Roberts,

You have to change it to style.css. For further information how to customize a theme you may refer to this link http://www.throwingabrick.com/wordpress/customizing-the-wordpress-twenty-ten-theme.html

I have a child theme, and can edit code, I just have no idea how to make the sidebar wider, and that guide didn't give that specific info :-/

Thanks for your help, anyone else know?

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.
    http://getfirebug.com/

It will help you to pin down exactly what CSS you need to over-write in the child theme.
