Is there any reason why I shouldn't have my host make my .htaccess file "immutible"?
There is a script or something that is constantly adding blank rows at the top and "s" or "ss" at the bottom of th .htaccess fiel, effectively shutting the site down.
I already have Permalinks set. In the normal run of business, will the .htaccess file need to be changeable?
The host has suggested this option. (This may indeed be a cPanel issue!?!)
Many thanks
Peter
