Make Headlines Link's Without Changing Font (5 posts)

    Hi,

    When I wrap my headlines in the link HTML code the font changes and the letter becomes underlined with a separate line other then the one my theme displays.

    Eyesopenreport.com

    What I want to do is allow my visitors to click on the headlines of the articles on my front page, which will take them to the full article.

    I don't want to change the font of the text or format of my theme at all by doing this.

    How can I make this happen?

    Depending on how you're wrapping your headlines - either with the <a href=...> tag outside of the <h2> tag or within it, you could try either

    .article-layout h2 a {
    your style rules here
    }

    or

    .article-layout a h2 {
    your style rules here
    }

    use rules like these to remove the underline:

    text-decoration: none;

    I don't understand your direction. Should I enter text-decoration: none; in my css style sheet? What style rules? I just want the text to be linked and nothing else.

    When I added that to my css style sheet the headline was still underlined (the text was underlined with the themes thick underline under it). I want the themes underline not the text. The text changed colors as well when it was clicked on.

    I'm sorry for being a pain.

    You are correct when you said I do not want it to change colors when clicked on.

    I wrapped the headline like this..
