Make a Side Bar Widgetized? (6 posts)

I'm working on a custom theme.. I started with the Rockwell Theme from site5.com and am basically redoing a majority of it to suite my needs. The theme itself comes with just 1 side bar, so, I've copied the sidebar.php file, and created a second sidebar.. known as sidebar-left and have it in position on my blog the way I want it to look, however, right now, it is just a duplicate of the original side bar.. when I go to the widget section of my dashboard, only 1 sidebar appears to add widgets to.. and when I put something in there, the second sidebar just duplicates it as well (you can see what I mean by going to http://www.chrisburke.ca

So my question is, how do I go about giving the second sidebar its own identity? so that its not just a duplicate of the original sidebar?

    Any help is appreciated.
