Ok, I've posted this before, but no one seems to understand what I'm trying to say.

Is there a way that when I create a new page, that new page can be a blog rather than a static page?

I have a website that gives information about the stock market. I want it to be one site with 3 different blogs dealing with different subjects relating to the market. Can this be done? Make a new page and make it a blog rather than a static page, all in one website?

    Thanks

looking for same answer- i keep seeing that it can be done, and that multiple blogs can be run off one site, but i'm missing the "how."

  3. Because you're looking for the wrong terms. :)

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

this is built in with 3.0. Please ask your host before you enabled it to see if they support it. pick subfolders and it will look like a new page.

then you create a new blog (site) and post to it.

That does not meet my needs. What I mean is to have multiple blogs on one site.

    My site is http://www.raghavsuri.com/wordpress

As you can see it has one blog and one static page. Is it possible that when I make a page on http://www.raghavsuri.com/wordpress that the page can be a blog rather than a static page?

  5. Sites *are* blogs.

    http://www.raghavsuri.com/wordpress is a blog.

Enable the network. Pick subfolders. Then you will have
    http://www.raghavsuri.com/wordpress/myotherblog/

Yes, use the new Menus area if your theme supports it. then use the "Links" section in there and type in the link.

Thanks, this helped! The one thing I've not figured out how to do (or if it's possible) is that I would like to have the feature previews on my front page click directly to posts from the other sites (blogs). Any ideas? Thanks.
