   Hey basically, I would like to find a way of having the really long posts, that could maybe take up the full homepage only be a few lines long with the first bit of the post in and then a read more link... Example

   thisisareallylongpost (that would be the full post)

   thisis...

   read more

   (would link to the posts full address)

   thankyou for the reply but I still cannot get it to work i edited the index.php in the file so that when i type <!--more--> in the post it should show up, but it doesnt :(

   What do you mean? What did you edit? The <!--more--> should be automatic unless interfered with by a plugin or some function in a theme. You shouldn't have to edit the theme just to make it work.

   Do you mean that you edited the_content() to get a customized link? If so, post your edit.

   Does the more tag work with the Default theme?

   And what do you mean by 'the index.php in the file'?
