   I need help, in a big way. I just inherited the responsibilities of running our WordPress site at work and I have very little experience, outside of adding occasional posts and images. I tried to get rid of a Widget that was on one of my pages, and in doing so, the following message is now appearing on EVERY page on the site:

   Widgetized Area

   This panel is active and ready for you to add some widgets via the WP Admin

   If you can help fix this, I would be eternally grateful.

   Assuming is in a sidebar, either add another widget to that sidebar or remove sidebar in theme options. If it is a custom widget area check that with theme option also.

   I think it's your theme thats doing it.
   Check your theme options under Appearance to see if you can disable this.
