I switched from 3.5 to 3.5.1 and now i am unable to add images on my website. i want to switch back immediately as this is a huge problem i get this message when trying to add a photo ( the same way i used to add photos with the older
file is empty. please upload something more substantial. this error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in you php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
Please help me as I have no idea how to fix this problem and it needs to be resolved asap!!!

Check if "post_max_size" is indeed smaller than "upload_max_filesize" in the php.ini file. Usually only your host support can have access to php.ini files, which can be changed from WHM panel or through SSH.

Some hosts allow you having your own php.ini though, so should ask your host support.

I'm having the same problem. I hit the add media key and nothing.it won't even open up the window for adding media. I uploaded several new photos just prior to updating WP. None of these photos were anywhere near the max size. Are there any other suggestions.

Not really how I wanted to start my day!

I'm having the same issue, once I opened up the 10 MB limit I was able to add media but can't get the media to insert in the post!

I may have found a possible link to what might be interfering with the add media button. Are any of you using Flash-Gallery? I temporarily deactivated this plug-in and the add media button worked after that. I luckily only have two pages using this plugin but I manage another site that has over 20 flash galleries in it. I can’t afford to deactivate the plugin in that site because all you are left with is the short-code and no pictures. I have contacted the plugin site and maybe everybody can put their collective brains together and come up with a fix.
