   I need to revert my new theme (Playmaker 4) to use custom fields. The support system at StyleWP sucks.

   The Playmaker 1 theme I upgraded from used custom fields to add images, but the Playmaker 4 theme automatically detects the first image added to a post and uses it throughout the theme where necessary.

   Below is the only response I have gotten on the StyleWP support forum.

   [So you are correct in thinking it is the upgrade causing the issue, however there is a fix that will revert Playmaker 4 to use custom fields instead, let me know if you would like to do this as you will have to make several edits to the theme source code.]

   Can anyone help me revert Playmaker 4 to use custom fields instead of automatically detecting the first image added to a post and using it throughout the theme where applicable?

   The message from StyleWP appears to be offering to "help [you] revert Playmaker 4 to use custom fields"? Why not go back to that thread and say "Why yes! I would help doing that"?

   I went back to the thread on January 12 but I have gotten no response despite their previous offer to provide with a "fix".

   Wow. Well, that's too bad. They would be the experts in those themes. Unfortunately it looks like a paid theme-- even more irritating.

   Ok, so you are probably going to have to find the Loop and paste the code into the pastebin.

   Thanks for getting back to me. I am a newbie but I am pretty good at following instructions. Can you tell me what code I need to paste in the pastebin? My site is baseballdeworld and I want to upgrade from the Playmaker 1 to Playmaker 4 theme, but I cannot get any photos to upload into the new theme because of the above problem.

   You are going to have to edit the .php source to make this work, most likely. With most themes I could just download the theme and look, since most are free. With you theme I can't do that. Read the link about the Loop so that you know what you are looking for. Then look around in the PHP source of your theme. Open files in a text editor not a word processor like MS Word. Never open code in a word processor. TextEdit or Notepad will do but you are better off with something built for code like TextWrangler (Mac) or PsPad (Windows), or jEdit (Java so its pretty cross platform). What you want is likely in index.php, or single.php, but I can't tell you for sure. When you find the loop just paste the whole file into the pastebin and post the link here. There may be other files you'll need to deal with as well, but that's a start.

    @Bumpre43,

    Your site is locking me into some annoying redirects. I've been sent to some adserver 'forbidden' page, to something like vb-something tv, to beyondthedow, and others... I'm done.

    I fixed the injection attack which was redirecting traffic to websites owned by some guy in St. Petersburg, Russia with a malicious script in my header.php tag. The website is now in maintenance mode as I am hoping to debut the Playmaker 4 theme soon.

    I'm also wondering how you fixed this. I've been playing with the Playmaster theme, but I can't get the thumbnail images / featured image function to work at all.
