oeconomistI made an entry which contained an inline quotation within an inline quotation within a blockquotation. The whole 'blog was then trashed-up with spurious quotation marks all over the place. The HTML editor keeps forceably inserting bogus q[uotation] tags in the entry upon saving.
The problem appears to be specifically that the editor will not tolerate nested q[uotation] elements. Therefore, when it encounters a q-tag inside of a q[uotation] element, it tries to close the outer element before the start of the inner element.
There should be an editor mode in which it will simply not attempt to correct mark-up.
(I have editted my dB directedly to get around this behavior, but users shouldn't have to resort to such things.)
