Hi,
When you activiate this plugin you won’t be able to view your website unless you login as an admin. If you go to http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin and login you should be able to view your website as normal.
Very useful plugin use it all the time.

I did just that but I still get the maintenance page only.
Thinking maybe I need to edit the settings php not sure.

Same thing unfortunately.
Maybe you can see something I can’t.
Only thing left is to clear my cache…
Will need to close all these windows.
IE and Safari is the same thing though

Sorry got my wires crossed, this isn’t the same plugin as I use. Not quite sure how this one works. It seems strange because I get 404 error pages with your design (try /wp-login) but can’t get to a login page at all as you well know.
I would reccommend using this plugin as it works a treat for me [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/maintenance-mode/].

Think I heard of it just that I thought I would use the php scripts built in to the program for optimal results but I see that don’t work too good either.
v 2.8.3 seems to have other issues.
