[resolved] main url automatically redirects - get page not found (10 posts)

I added a page to my blog with no parent page, and when I went to the main url for the site: http://clintmello.com, it automatically added the page name to the url and loaded that page. So I deleted that page, but it still automatically adds the page name to the link
    (http://clintmello.com/mlm-lead-generation-videos/)
So now it brings up that page with the message "Not Found" " Sorry, but you're looking for something that isn't here."
The other pages work fine as do the categories. But my main url is goobed up. The url automatically changes to the exteded link above when I type clintmello.com in the address bar.
Can someone advise me on how to correct this?
By the way, when I log in, go to pages in Dashboard, the main page shows everything is the way it is supposed to be, including the link. I don't know what to correct when everything appears to be right.
    Thanks!
    Clint

Did you change the front page to a static page?

It is set to static page yes but it has been that way for months.

I'm having the same issue - suddenly. I created a new page and now when I enter my "main" url it gets redirected to the new page. And when I click on home page in nav bar it goes to the new page, as well. To my knowledge, I changed nothing else.

I upgraded to 3.0 but did not check it afterwards. I just started a new page and checked it. Then this morning I noticed it.
I have done everything I can think of.
Now realize I am not very literate at this. Any help would be appreciated.

I have fourblogger.com working on it. I'll let you know the outcome.

diondeville...thank you so much - victory. i had changed my .htaccess file about 30 minutes ago (though there was no redirect). but after reading the linked post, i deactivated the redirection plugin - and boom - back to normal. again, thank you...

You're welcome. The redirects to delete are the ones with a source URL of "/". The plugin works fine except for that little hitch.
