Main page not updating but /blog is

Using woo Inspire with Yahoo and WP 3.
I installed Inspire to goldmineexpert.com/gold
Some new additions update on the main page goldmineexpert.com then other things will not update they only update on goldmineexpert.com/gold. Of course I want the goldmineexert.com to be the main page. I also notice when I click on a menu item at the top of the page it takes me to goldmineexpert.com/gold/services. I guess two questions:

How do I get all changes to reflect at goldmineexpert.com not goldmineexpert.com/gold?

How do I get the menu items to drop the gold from the url? goldmineexpert.com/gold/services
