In the dashboard go to Appearance > Menus and set up a custom menu with the submenu links you want.

Hi Andrew, I have looked at the pages you suggested. I can see no where to do this. I must admit that I am not impressed with WordPress it seems you have to be a computer programmer to use it. My last web site I finished locally and then uploaded it, no problem.
My new site m0hne.co.uk is proving to be nightmare and it’s just a hobby.

Try deactivating all of your plugins and then switch to the default Twenty Thirteen/ Fourteen theme, because every installation of WordPress should have the Menus section of the dashboard.
On a side note if software was becoming a nightmare for me I would stop using it and find an alternative.
Hi, I have just one problem, I have two menus one called “Menu 1” and one called “Projects”. I have tried the processes that are listed on Word press menu user guide., Particularly “Creating Multi-Level Menus”. But I can find no way of making “Projects” a child of “Menu 1 item “My Projects” (which is a main heading menu). Can you assist further please. Apart from programming something I don’t profess to know about is there a simpler method. I spend most of my time designing and building prototype designs for Amateur Radio enthusiasts and want to pass on what I have done free.
Drag the sub menu item slightly to the right……
When I open Menu’s on the left I am given two screens “Edit Menus” and “Manage Locations” that is all, I can’t fathom how to move anything to the right. Am I looking in the right place?
Under “edit menus” select the menu you want. On the right you’ll see the items added to the menu. Hover over them and you can drag them to the right.
