main menu bar disappeared
-
hi,
after i add my own header image, the main menu bar disappears. the names of the pages are still there, but the grey box they sit in is gone. i have looked and compared the original and current header and css files to see difference, but cannot work it out.
heres my website
and this is how the original looked, which you can compare to how the website looks now.
please can someone help me solve this.
thanks,
robin

Looks fine to me: http://twitpic.com/4vlm9q/full
ok, this is really weird, if i look at website with safari it looks fine, but with firefox, which is what i normally use, this gray bar is not there. why is this?
Probably CSS conflicts that Safari and (for me) Chrome and IE 7 don’t mind. I don’t have Firefox on this PC to test, but at a WAG, try flushing your firefox browser cache?
I did this, but it does not solve the problem. Can anyone help with this answer?
Thanks in advance.
The thing is … in your screenshot, I can still see the grey bar.
http://www.celtic-carpentry.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/original.jpg shows a light grey line under the header.
yes but that is an image of the original header before I changed it. After I uploaded my own image it looks like this in firefox.
That’s a really small picture to try and see anything useful on 😉
The best I can see is that it’s probably a CSS issue. Have you ever used FireBug? You may need it to inspect that menu bar and see where it is (or is not) pulling in it’s style.
Looks fine to me in Firefox 4, Chrome and IE8.
I have just updated to Firefox 4 and it now works. Great, thanks everyone.
