main link to my wordpress site doesn't work?? Help.

    Hi. After a few months of not working much on WP, I tried to go to my site (www.lizaweisstuch.com) and my browser told me:

    The connection has timed out
    The server at blog.lizaweisstuch.com is taking too long to respond.
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    A friend fixed it and told me something in the code was broken. Now, about six weeks after this initial incident, I went to my site today and got the same “timed out” message. My domain name runs out on May 1, so I know that’s not the issue. Can you please help? Thanks!

    I would first go to your web-hosting account control panel and check your server stats to make sure before you start looking for WP problems. Better yet, get in touch with their support and let them find out for you. Then if it isn’t a server problem, take it from there.

    it sounds to me like a server problem… the connection is timing out (meaning there is no response from the host server, or there is a dns problem ie. have you changed the domain name settings recently?) I would consider changing your hosting provider if it keeps happening
