   I have a new WordPress site and I am stumped by this one. I can't seem to get my Main Index page to observe the "Read More" tags I have in posts. I don't want to use the excerpt in place of the content tag because I only want this to happen with certain posts. It works fine in the archives, but not on the main page. I have been over and over the Loop code and can't figure out what the difference is, they look identical to me. help?

   Are you using "more" in the post visual editor? That's how I got it to work for me while keeping "the content" in main index.
