main domain page won't load, others will

    I know this has been posted, but none of the posts were helpful.
    I honestly know nothing about how this coding stuff works so unless there are detailed step my steps of how to fix this, I am lost.

    I think I was advised to back up my files when first getting the site up but I don’t remember how or where they went.

    I have deleted ALL plugins (first tried deactivating, then got desperate).
    I am on the twenty-fourteen theme.
    I tried using the wordpress reset plugin.
    I used to have a static home page but after resetting, everything is to factory settings.
    I legit have nothing on my page now, but the problem still exists.

    From plugin page we see:

    “Resets the WordPress database back to it’s defaults. Deletes all customizations and content. Does not modify files only resets the database”

    Ask your host if they may please perhaps have a db backup they can restore.
