I ask my clients for an actual mailing address (my mailing list is email and snail mail). But the mailing address doesn’t come through correctly. The field is there to add from the drop-down menu, but when I ad it, it just ads one box and it’s unlabeled as to what to even write in there. It should be several boxes, street address, street address 2, city, state, zip… Any help would be appreciated.

    Best,
    Mylees

    Hi Mylees,

The address field is a MailChimp thing as for now, behind the scenes they will convert it to just 1 field. Not sure why they chose to did it likee that but I am still working on creating a proper solution for that inside the plugin.

The best suggestions I can give you right now are..

    • Use MailChimps (hosted) form
    • Create text fields in your list for the address, instead of using the address type.
    • Add a placeholder describing the address format you want
    • Make the address field optional

Not sure how realistic the last two options are for you but just putting them out there. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now.

Thanks that worked for me. I put “# Street Address, City, State, Zip” as the placeholder, that’ll be fine as the snail mail list is optional.

    Hi Mylees,

Ok, great. Glad that worked for you, for now. In the meantime I’ll try to work that feature into the plugin! 🙂
