mailchimp social: can't select fb pages

I have sucessfully installed Mailchimp’s social plugin.
I can connect to facebook but when i click the manage pages link i just get a loading circle and nothing happens. I’ve left it for about half an hour and it never connects. I tried this with both chrome and firefox on os x.
