    Hi @danny

    I am reposting this because we both could not do it before (I posted this about a week ago). Hopefully you can get into it this time. Anyway, I am wanting to use this with this Pop Up plugin from WPMUDev: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/the-pop-over-plugin/

    It actually works and send the confirmation email to subscribe but does not give the customer a success message and when they go back to the page as well it does not show they have already signed up as normal. Here is the error they see (like I said the email gets submitted and they get a confirmation email…it is just they go to this blank page with this error) upon submission…Of course, we can not have that…smile.

    Can that be fixed to where they get a success message and to mention to them to check there email and also show on the page that they have signed up already (just like if they did it directly on the page)?

    Here is the error:
    po_onsuccess({“name”:”nopopover”}) (it shows on a all white page after submitting within the pop up).

    🙂

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for re-posting, I’m getting in now. 🙂

    Do you have a live URL where can I see this behaviour in action?

    This actually sounds like an issue with the plugin you’re using but probably we can make things work together more smoothly by a simple customization.

    Hi @danny:

    Sounds good…ok…I prepared one for you. The popup I think only comes up 3 times (if you close it more than that and refresh). Then you have to clear cache.

    It works perfectly when on the page or post itself along with a message for them to check their email to confirm.

    When it is submitted in the popup, it does go through and they get a email confirmation (but there is that error message and no notice).

    Would like it to redirect to the page and also show the same notice for them to check there email and there info was positively receive..of course with no errors…smile.

    Let me know what you think Danny…

    Hi Greg,

    I don’t seem to understand. The form in the pop-up is not a “MailChimp for WP” form but an e-Newsletter widget?

    The MailChimp for WP form seems to work fine.

    Hi @danny

    Don’t look at the slider that is titled Newsletter & Updates (it’s free) or the sidebar…yea, those are different.

    The Mailchimp plugin works perfect on the page too.

    However, I am speaking of the POP UP that should show you a black background and a actual pop up right in front of the screen within 5-10 seconds after loading the page. You either have to close it or sign up. That is what I mean. Try putting a email in that popup and submit and you will see what I mean…like mentioned it works on the page but not on that popup. Let me know…smile.

    Hey @danny

    Did you get the last response? I hope that clears up what I am talking about. Anyway, just let me know you received…thanks…G

    Hi truebird,

    Yep, received and read but had no time to look into yet. Quite busy taking care of everything around my first premium plugin.. I’ll try to do it as soon as I can and let you know!

    Hi Truebird,

    I’m not getting the pop-up. The plugin “plugin-organizer” is throwing an error in the JavaScript file of the popover plugin. Take a look at your JavaScript console for the error message.

    Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in popover-load-js.php

    Visiting popover-load-js.php gives me this.

    <br />
    <b>Warning</b>: require_once(/var/chroot/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-organizer/lib/PluginOrganizer.class.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-organizer/plugin-organizer.php</b> on line <b>12</b><br />
    <br />
    <b>Fatal error</b>:  require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/var/chroot/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-organizer/lib/PluginOrganizer.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5_3/lib/php') in <b>/home/content/93/6858593/html/wp-content/plugins/plugin-organizer/plugin-organizer.php</b> on line <b>12</b><br />

    So, disabling Plugin Organizer should fix this. Then, I can take a look and see what I can do.

    PS. to make sure the pop-up form works, you could upgrade to MailChimp for WordPress Pro and use the AJAX form (as shown on my website, in the footer). This way, the page won’t have to reload after submitting the form.

    Hope that helps.

    Danny
