   After upgrading to 3.0.5, I began getting errors with the built in mail () function.

   When a new user registered, they could not get a password.

   Old users can use the forgotten password and WP will email the confirmation link and then the password, but new users cannot.

   This could be because I am using Magic Members plugin, but everything was working fine in 3.0.4.

   Suggested plugins like WP mail from and WP mail options do not help.
   Modifying the class-phpmailer.php with SMTP info doesn't help.

   I'm downgrading now to see if it will work again.

   This could be because I am using Magic Members plugin, but everything was working fine in 3.0.4.

   You can confirm this by deactivating the suspect plugin.

   Also, youwant to make sure your plugins are compatible with 3.0.5
