    Hi all,

Mail Chimp is causing a fatal error on my blog. The site only loads with the error and no content. I can't even get into WordPress admin page.

Fatal error: Class 'NS_Widget_MailChimp' not found in /home/sites/hikmah.co.uk/public_html/site/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324

    Appreciate the help,

    Sid.

    Hey Sid!

Which version of WordPress and MailChimp are you using? If you could also provide us with a link to your site. I'll be happy to have a peek!

    Hi mc_nate,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm using WordPress 3.1.1 and version 0.8 of the MailChimp widget.

    The site URL is: http://www.hikmah.co.uk/site/

    Hey again, Sid.

I'm not sure that 0.8 was actually a version that was released by MailChimp. You can find all of our previous versions here:

You might want to try using version 1.2.4 as it's the most up-to-date version of the plugin that we have.

I have got exactly the same error.
Fatal error: Class 'NS_Widget_MailChimp' not found in /home3/holwellf/public_html/johnnymartin/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324

Any ideas? I can't access the admin panel or anything!

    Thanks

    Jill

    Hi Sid,
    Thanks for the reply.
Not exactly what I wanted to hear!!
What did you do? Scrap your whole site?

    Jill

Yep, I started from scratch and used another plugin for mailing instead.

I've kept the copy of the wordpress install that is still displaying the error in the hope of fixing it one day.

    That's all very depressing news.

Fortunately not a massive site. Time for tea and chocolate I think.
    Cheers

Sid I thought I would let you know I resolved it by deleting the mailchimp plug in in the wordpress folder on the server and it has reverted back to the normally functioning site - phew.

Not a long term fix I know but it has got me out of the mire for now.

    Ah the power of chocolate!

    Cheers
    Jill

Nice one Jill, thanks for letting me know.

I've normally have a packet of custard creams on the side to help me get through. Must try chocolate in future.
    :P

    Hey Sid and Jill!

Just wanted to follow back up with you guys. I was unable to replicate the same issues on my end of things. I upgraded to WordPress 3.1.2 and have the MailChimp 1.2.4 widget running in site. Here's a screenshot real quick:

Are there any special themes installed?

If not, it sounds like it could be a conflict with another plugin that's being used...

Hmm. Let me know any additional details and I'll give it a shot!

    Cheers.
