   What is the best way to create seasonal issues (could be compared to Volume and number, e.g. "Volume 2 Issue 3") for an online magazine?

   Would this be done with a custom field with the season and year (e.g. Summer 2010), category, other custom 'hack' of some sort?

   I'd like to be able to display the current issue when people visit the site, but when they click on the archives have the ability for them select Spring 2010, Summer 2010, Fall 2010, etc.

   I've searched for resources online but have come-up empty.
