• Hi! I’d like to do a custom layout for my home page, magazine style, with a bigger teaser and picture on top, and then other teasers with thumbnails underneath, in two cols. I’d like to swap the widgets in one of the sidebars on the post pages, or make the secondary sidebar gone entirely.

    This is a premium theme, though they’ve got a free version available but i don’t like the way it’s done. E.g. most of the styling is done through a php file with variables. Being a front-end desinger i’m not much of a php dude but i suspect there must be a less obtrusive approach to do this.

    If you know of any tutorial that covers the custom frontpage creation process, pls let me know. I’ve done a thorough search, with no luck whatsoever. It’s relatively easy to do in Drupal with views and CCK or panels but unfortunately there’s no such thing in WP.
