Mac WordPress Problems

Do WP1.5 write buttons not work on Mac, or is it just me?

For instance- blockquote:

Steps:
1- highlight text
2- click [blockquote]

Result on PC: opens and closes the blockquote tag around the text.

Result on Mac: Opens a block quote tag.

Is there a work around or a browser that would solve this problem? I am working with someone that has a Mac-dependency (he’s an artist, go figure).
