Love this - just need links to "break out" of modal (2 posts)

This plugin is doing exactly what I want!

I am using it to display a welcome message for the first visit only. The web page displayed in the modal is a page from the "help" section of the WP site. I want this page to behave normally when viewed in a full browser window (i.e., if the user navigates to the page via a regular menu link to get "help").

The only problem I am having with this arrangement is that if the user clicks any links in the modal window, those links open inside the modal -- and now we have a picture-in-picture effect.

I need a setting that allows the modal window to close if any links within it are clicked.

Maybe it's already there, and I'm just missing it, but I can't figure it out. Any help?

Just define the link target as _top and it should open the link in the parent window.

This article explains a bit more:
