Love Button
[resolved] Love Button - Reset the Counter (4 posts)

I was testing all of the sharing options when I set this up to see if they were working properly (facebook, pinterest, etc.). There doesn't seem to be away to exclude clicks from logged in users so it counted all of these test clicks. Is it possible to reset the counter back to zero?

At the moment there is just the way to delete the love button database tables [prefix]_delucksLoveButton & [prefix]_delucksLoveButtonStatistics.
    They will be recreated automaticly.

I prepare a reset function for the next version.

    Thank you.
So I just delete the whole code from love-button.php?

I also noticed something else. When a sharing icon is clicked it increases the count even if the item isn't actually shared. So if someone wants to share something and they choose twitter but then change their mind and decide not to, it still counts because they clicked the twitter icon. Is there a way to only count it if it was actually shared?

    Hi jml.

Dont delete the php files, just log in to your Database (in most cases via phpMyAdmin) and delete the two tables! Maybe the next version comes this week, you can wait for the update too!

The love button can only track the click which are done on your own site. There is no way to detect wether a sharing is completed, sorry.
