   There are lots of pingbacks and trackbacks on my site. every our it reaches 100-150. SO i have to delete it so many times a day. it has just been started before 4-5 days. but its too irritating. Any1 plz help me....

   Go to Settings > Discussion > Remove tick from "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) ". This will disable pingbacks.

   I have already removed tick from "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)". and in recent time i have not any discussion settings. Still the problem persists. SO what to do now?

   Go to appearance > writing > update services and delete the ping-trackback.

   Further - Grab the plugin called 'delete comments' and certainly 'Askimet' to deal with the issue.
